Self-titled by Going Home

Before Molly moved away from the DC area, we wanted to have a record of the music we've made in the past few years. One afternoon in August 2019, we recorded these songs around one microphone, live, in our friend's home.

We grew up around the corner from each other in Silver Spring, Maryland. Introduced to the American hymnbook The Sacred Harp by Molly’s mother Busy Graham, Corinne got hooked on this tradition, traveling around the country to sing with tens or hundreds of others in harmony. We complement our Sacred Harp repertoire (sometimes known as “shape-note”) with old-time songs and tunes, banjo, cello, fiddles and Irish step dancing feet. We're also guided by living composers, such as our great friends Moira Smiley and Malcolm Dalglish.
