Chapelcross by yellow6
The two short tracks making up this release were recorded in two consecutive evenings in January 2020. They were intended to be a lathe cut release on the Champion Version label as a follow up to the 2019 single 'Skinburness'. With the current COVID-19 situation, we felt it was probably not the best to time release a limited lathe cut 7" single so decided instead to make them available here as a free download.
The music was recorded using a Gretsch G6120TBDE 6 string bass and multiple effects pedals, recorded using Ableton LIVE 9 and Mobius looper.
The photographs were taken across the Solway Firth from Skinburness. One showing the modern energy source, and the other the decommissioned nuclear power station of Chapelcross.
