Glad Tidings by Yasmin, Alexis and friends

"Glad Tidings" is our musical gift in honour of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the passing of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá (1844-1921). (EN FRANÇAIS ci-dessous)

‘Abdu’l-Bahá was the eldest Son of Bahá’u’lláh, and the Bahá’í Faith’s leading exponent, renowned as a champion of social justice and an ambassador for international peace. He is known not only as the authorized interpreter of the Bahá’í Writings but also as the perfect exemplar of the Faith’s spirit and teachings.

We put to music three extracts from the writings of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, two in French and one in English, and wish to offer them as a humble tribute of our deep love and gratitude for the Life and Example of this unique being.

We hope these prayers and texts for which we composed original melodies and arrangements, will inspire many in all parts of the world, in their individual and collective moments of devotion and worship.

If you wish to make a free donation, it will serve to cover the costs of recording and mixing. But you are also welcome to just listen and share with your friends and family, if you like these pieces!

"Glad Tidings" est notre cadeau musical en l'honneur de la commémoration du 100e anniversaire du décès de 'Abdu'l-Bahá (1844-1921).

'Abdu'l-Bahá était le fils aîné de Bahá'u'lláh et le principal représentant de la foi bahá'íe, reconnu comme un champion de la justice sociale et un ambassadeur de la paix internationale. Il est connu non seulement comme l'interprète autorisé des Écrits bahá'ís, mais aussi comme le parfait exemple de l'esprit et des enseignements de la Foi.

Nous avons mis en musique trois extraits des écrits de 'Abdu'l-Bahá, deux en français et un en anglais, et souhaitons les offrir comme un humble hommage de notre profond amour et de notre gratitude pour la vie et l'exemple de cet être unique.

Nous espérons que ces prières et ces textes, pour lesquels nous avons composé des mélodies et des arrangements originaux, inspireront de nombreuses personnes dans toutes les régions du monde, dans leurs moments de recueillement individuels et collectifs.
