Dreamlines is a moment in the story of Kahu, a premonition, entering the dreamtime with the ancestors... learning the stories and dances of the Kahuravi.
This album is dedicated to the healing of our ancestral memory, and remembering of the songs that live through us from the earth roots and the mossy soil. It was born following the intuition to listen to the mossy soil, the flowing waters, and the living tides, leaning closer to what I know has been there all along.
Thank you Dani Foster for the river and tide singing sessions, Jackson Mathey, Will Dyar, Sam Hopely, Sage Forest, Yeshe, Miro Klima (Ki Wa Ey!), Steve and the Marahau Farm, Mamala Mariko and Sika, Sister Susy, Nara Shedd, Fred and Enlivened Foods, Makate for the river singing session, Yndon for the creek singing session, Logan for the lake and mossy forest singing sessions, Takaka tribe for coastal and forest adventures, Hountor Gent, Gregory Gutin, Tone Ranger, Michael Stearns, and everyone I met along my travels who sang, drummed, and danced together. Together we remember our ways.
