it's a big big big opening track. strings! space! synths oh my! i was on one occassion attempting to record the animoog app from my iphone 5s through a zoom ms70cdr (ice delay) when my mother called - the garbled voices you hear on the track are this very conversation. but mostly i just wanted to make something very cinematic and very *not* the calm (my prior album).
