Drift by Wayne Adams
Written during two lockdowns, these 7 tracks were composed whilst consuming a lot of weird Sci-Fi and diving deep into lots of synth heavy soundtracks and ambient albums. Artists such as Craven Faults and Trees Speak have been big influences, also the two Panos Cosmatos films, Mandy and Beyond the Black Rainbow, alongside classic soundtracks such as The Thing.
These 7 pieces have all been composed live using analogue synths. Mainly a System 55 clone, a Motor synth, an Analogue Solutions Telemark and a Minilogue, with minimal mixing and editing. the process of making these songs reflect the strange passing of time I have experienced during this last year.
