Pure Magic by Virgin Twin

This is the third and final album by Virgin Twin, the ongoing collaboration between myself and Jon-Ross, who flew from this earth on 20 March 2017 – 7 months and 11 days ago, as of the eve of this typing.

I am deeply indebted to my good friend and collaborator (and massive Jon-Ross and Virgin Twin fan) John Crewdson, for his support and his ears in co-producing and mixing the final album. His creativity and enthusiasm for the project have helped immeasurably in finishing this record the way J-R and I would have wanted, and there is no way the finished album would sound anywhere near as good as it does without his contributions.

Without a doubt, this album would be very different if Jon-Ross had lived to see it completed. I have done my best to honour everything we believed in, about the album, about the project, about each other, about life, the universe, and everything. And most of all, about music, and the cosmic gift of our collaboration.

Peace and love on you, all you beautiful Earthlings out there spinning our tunes. Ever forward.

All tracks composed, arranged, performed, and recorded by J-R and EoS, between summer 2003 and autumn 2017, with special guest appearance by Ian Ashworth (tracks 9 and 16). As usual with us, these are home recordings, created using stone knives and bearskins, although they were for the most part the highest quality stone knives and bearskins we’ve ever had available to us.

Album cover is an original artwork by J-R; EoS just added the band name and album title.

Final mastering was done by EoS.
