FIRST CUTS by Charlie Milne & Lesley Hale
I recorded this CD with the late Lesley Hale having met her at the 'Nitten Folk Club' and we found a mutual interest in writing songs. Ian Bruce liked what we were writing - Charlie had never recorded before - Ian was developing his studio down in Dumfries - ideal ingredients coming together at just the right time - life is full of happy co-incidences!

George Archibald from Lasswade & Charlie Milne from West Linton met at Nitten Folk Club' and formed a firm friendship that led to
this duet who played for Music in Hospitals(Scotland) for a few years and entertaining Ed Miller's "Songs of Scotland' tours in Edinburgh. Both are in the well-known local band "Ragged Glory" who appeared in Ian McCalman's award winning show Far, Far From Ypres!
