something is stalking the forest at night
causing the wildlings to flee for their lives
horrors are rising, no blade will suffice
only the fire can hold back the ice

out of the great white north
come a people free from thrones
these free folk ride south
to kneel before rebel kings and crows

up from the dead they come
creatures born of ice and snow
black hands, blue eyes, cold breath
origins unknown

murderers and thieves dressed in black
armed with flames counter the attack
the wall defends itself from the advance
protecting unsuspecting southern lands

when the dead
stalk the forest at night
then you know
that winter is upon you
