Electrical and magic. Dim Red Lights gives a little bit of a death's dynamic shroud vibe with its experimentalism with samples and themes. Using pop music, ringtones, sounds from all internet, DRL puts us in a narrative where our modern world is seen as just sweet smoke in waveforms, having both a happy side on some tracks and an empty, dark side on other ones. Truly I can say this brings nostalgia, unlike other vaporwave releases that I've seen using videogame music/sounds I never heard before, and sounds from an era long gone, the 80s and 90s. Ironically most of the folks that do this type never lived in those times. This release expresses nostalgia from the early 2000s, the era I was born. I personally love early 2000s aesthetic. If you were born or lived in these days, this might be for you.
