In 1981 The Visitor started as a band influenced by British new-wave music from The Cure and Joy Division. They were at the core of the so called 'Frisian Breeze' - groups from Friesland who were very succesful in the beginning of the Eighties. The Visitor was one of the first Western bands ever to tour Russia. Up to this day Ernst Langhout, singer and writer - is active in the music scene.
