29: Melody by Theihs
Melody, the twenty-ninth album in the main numbering system of my repertoire, is also the first album of the series of the same name. This series (akin to the Electronic Music and Vocal Music series) is a small and ongoing sequence of albums planned to commemorate the tenth anniversary of my compositional career. The albums contained share a distinct theme, as they replicate the original method I used for generating music in 2010 and 2011: jot down melodies consecutively on a single, basic piano staff. Ten years later, I sought to celebrate this milestone by calling attention to this method. To do so, I isolated every melody or theme from every piece I have placed on an album and complied them into one long, flowing piano piece per album. Each album in the Melody series consists of tracks reproducing these melodies in groups by canonical generation. Therefore, this first Melody album—finished on August 22, 2022 along with 30: Alone in a Crowd and released on April 19, 2023—contains tracks of albums from the First Generation. Its album artwork is simple and minimalist, intending to mimic some greatest hits albums released by other artists, namely the 1992 Greatest Hits I & II box set from Queen, which I grew up listening to. It is of a light-brown color with a border, the Theihs clock, and the title engraved to simulate a depression in the material. Being an album of long medleys, its duration is 1:07:29.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Theihs began playing violin when he was six years old and began composing when he was 12. At 13, he completed his first album, Nascency, in 2012. Now, he has over four hundred pieces written and a small following on YouTube (under the original stage name "Tock" and its successor "Theihs"). He primarily writes in neoclassical new age and electronic dance music.
