Dustaphonics is led by guitarist Yvan Serrano (aka DJ Healer Selecta) The lineup was completed for this first single by powerhouse vocalist Aina Roxx, John GIbbs (Kaisers/ Wildbeests) , on bass, and Bruce Brand (ex-Milkshakes/Headcoats) and Brian Iddenden on Sax.
The Dustaphonics "Burlesque Queen," was issued in 2019 on retro London label Dirty Water. The sleazy R&B grinder was co-written by Serrano and Tura Satana, star of Russ Meyer's 1965 cult flick Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, and served as a precursor of what to expect from their debut album released the following year. Party Girl (2011) fizzed with an exuberant mix of R&B, rock & roll, rockabilly, soul, surf, and garage, capturing the energy and verve of their revue-style live shows.
The band backed Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd on stage, and also opened for Wanda Jackson, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas. The Sonics, James Hunter, etc...
