The Our Music EP nods to the Louisville alternative music scene of incorrigible variety and acceptance. Punk wasn't a sound but a willingness to try anything to get that ... something.
The EP was recorded in early 2021, with Anne Gauthier at La La Land Studios.
The song Our Music recalls the gabba gabba one of us inclusion where "we don't care what you look like; we don't care where you're from." The Light Goes On draws inspiration from landmarks and leaders of the scene, and resolves to find its own way carrying that light forward. Sand In My Expectations gives and learns in the bummers. Btown Road harkens to the center avenue of apartments, clubs, and everything in between. I Know Who I Am is a covid-era affirmation of the moral and creative definition of the self, hoping we can be guided by kindness.
