The Blue Scene was a brotherhood, a family, and a rock band. A perfect union in some ways, and a crazy train wreck in some others. The band canvassed and left carnage around the New York area until the flame burned out in 2006. Since then all the members have stayed true to form; producing great music in a variety of projects and bands.
Let this, then, serve as pretty much the only release by this band that remotely shines a light on the whole picture. The band never got its true shot at making an album their way, they’d probably say. Some of the tracks are hi-fi to be sure, but mostly these are demos, spirited moments captured in a lo-fi style or ideas that would essentially form the groundwork for future projects. The boys always came together to help articulate each other’s ideas to the best of their potential.
