Misfits' Jamboree by Terence Blacker

The songs on Terence Blacker's new album MISFIT'S JAMBOREE are as personal and close to home as anything he has written, but the subversive wit is as edgy and funny as ever.

Featured throughout the album are songs about the sort of people who tend to fall through the cracks of life and rarely get celebrated – misfits who feel out of step with the world, friends who have died young and never made old bones, the singers and musicians at an open mic night, playing for the love of music.

Produced by David Booth, MISFITS' JAMBOREE features a simpler and more pared back production than Terence’s last two albums. In addition to instrumental work from Terence and David, it includes backing vocals from Kelly Bayfield, and contributions from two musicians who have played on earlier Terence Blacker albums, the virtuoso blues pianist Dom Pipkin and Italian bass guitarist Giovanni Crescenzi.
