thru my curtain
i'm uncertain
if the person

has survived the exhertion
of age, all my days

headed for a grave

want to heal the pain
so i peel off the paint
but i wind up with digits
that fidget chips of lead + dust
huffin on asbestos
regrettin all the messes
i made since adolescence
restless + reckless
blessed with
days to waste
and the space to make mistakes
now that time is gone
so the night falls like a bomb
teen heat's cold
false dreams they sold
green spring grows gold
