SWARRRMの6thアルバム『ゆめをみたの』のリリースが決定！
結成20年を超え、長くその活動を続けながらもリリースペースを落とすどころか、近年更に加速させている彼らの創作意欲は止まることを知らない。ボーカリストとしてTSUKASAが加入後に制作された2枚のアルバム『Flower』(2014年/Daymare Recordings)、そして『こわれはじめる』(2018年/3LA –LongLegsLongArms Records-)では、それまでの彼らのシグネイチャーとされてきた混沌としたグラインドコアの中に、日本語歌詞の侘び寂びと歌心を組み合わせた独自のアートフォームを構築してきた。そして同時にSWARRRMは、これまでの過去の自分達が作り上げたサウンドを更新し、変化させ、その先に踏み込んでいくことを恐れなかった。その変化故、時に賛否両論を巻き起こしながらも、その度にリスナーからの評価と信頼を作品の力で勝ち取ってきたバンドでもある。そのエッジに立ち続けてきたバンドが放つ本作『ゆめをみたの』は、過去2枚のアルバムとはまた異なる性質、方向性を打ち出しながらも、混沌と美しさが鬩ぎ合う様はまさにSWARRRMであるとしか形容できない傑作アルバムに仕上がっており、前作で打ち立てた高いハードルを更に超えた作品であることを断言しよう。
アルバム収録曲は、assembrageとのスプリット7inch(2018年/Break The Records)に収録された「見えない場所だろうと」と、ENDONとのスプリットCD『歪神論』(2019年/Daymare Recordings)に収録された「涙」の2曲を含む全11曲で構成されるが、その1曲1曲が独立した作品性を保持しながら同時にアルバム全編を流れるドラマ性を強く感じさせる作りになっており、作品の前半部に配置された既存の2曲からは想像出来ないほどに中盤、後半に向けて捻れ、溶けていく流れは圧巻の様相を呈している。構築、破壊、そして再生。バンドのこれまでの歩みそのものの如く、作品の中で蠢く音は変化を続け、生まれ変わり続ける。その混沌としたサウンドに呼応するかのような072のアートワークもまた見事で、陰と陽を行き来しながら“今のSWARRRMの音”を巧みな色彩と共に表現していく。サウンド、アートワークに加え、TSUKASAの持つ言葉とメロディが到達した表現の極み、それらが織り成す最新作『ゆめをみたの』は「SWARRRMは常に最新作が最高傑作だ」という前作のリリース時に書き残した言葉を裏切らない作品となった。

SWARRRM's 6th album "I dreamed..." will be released!
SWARRRM has been together for more than 20 years, and while they have been active for a long time, they have not lost their release-pace, but have accelerated their creativity in recent years. Their two albums, "Flower" (2014/Daymare Recordings) and "Beginning to Break" (2018/3LA -LongLegsLongArms Records-), were produced after TSUKASA joined as a vocalist. (2014/Daymare Recordings) and "Beginning to Break" (2018/3LA -LongLegsLongArms Records-), SWARRRM has created a unique art form that combines the wabi-sabi of Japanese lyrics and the heart of song within the chaotic grindcore that had been their signature up to that point. At the same time, SWARRRM has never been afraid to update, change, and go beyond the sounds they have created in the past. Because of this change, the band has sometimes caused controversy, but each time they have won the appreciation and trust of their listeners with the power of their work. The band that has been standing on the edge of the music world has released this album, "I dreamed..." and while it has a different nature and direction than the last two albums, the way chaos and beauty rival each other makes it a masterpiece album that can only be described as SWARRRM. It is a masterpiece that can only be described as SWARRRM.
The album consists of a total of 11 songs, including two songs from the split 7inch with assembrage (2018/Break The Records), "Even If It Is Invisible Place" and "Tears" from the split CD with ENDON, "Evil Little Things" (2019/Daymare Recordings). While each song retains its own independent nature, the album is designed to give a strong sense of drama that runs through the entire album, and the flow that twists and melts toward the middle and latter half of the album is unimaginable from the two existing songs placed in the first half of the album. This is the first time I've heard this song. Construction, destruction, and rebirth. Like the band's history itself, the sounds that stir in the work keep changing and being reborn. The 072 artwork, which seems to respond to the chaotic sound, is also splendid, moving back and forth between yin and yang, expressing the "sound of SWARRRM today" with clever colors. In addition to the sound and artwork, TSUKASA's words and melodies have reached their peak of expression, and the result is their latest work, "I dreamed..." which does not betray the words they left behind when they released their last album, "SWARRRM's latest work is always their best work.
