TROJEAU by Israel Martínez
In 1845 the American writer Henry David Thoreau began a period of 2 years 2 months and 2 days living semi-isolated in a cabin in Walden Pond. Until now it was unknown that, prior to this, he spent a short time in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán learning about purépecha culture, which inspired such an adventure and the writing of his emblematic book Walden. TROJEAU is the literary and aural testimony of this experience. Project commissioned by the XIV FEMSA Biennial.

En 1845 el escritor norteamericano Henry David Thoreau comenzó un periodo de 2 años 2 meses y 2 días viviendo semi-aislado en una cabaña en Walden Pond. Hasta ahora se desconocía que, previo a esto, pasó una breve temporada en Pátzcuaro, Michoacán aprendiendo de la cultura purépecha, lo que inspiró tal aventura y la escritura de su emblemático libro Walden. TROJEAU es el testimonio literario y aural de esta experiencia. Proyecto comisionado por la XIV Bienal FEMSA.
