"I spent 8 days alone in the Norwegian forests. During those days some romantic illusions about nature came crumbling down. I saw and felt the harsh reality of lifeforms trying to survive in a world of limited resources. There was no romantic string music, no David Attenborough popping up behind a bush, no digitally enhanced colors. It felt like an existential crisis; a realization of what we come from and what we really are. As I got over my urban disabilities and integrated everything, a new kind of beauty emerged. A beauty that was less falsified and more primal."

Roos’ approach is shaped by a form of synesthesia, where sensations intertwine; everything experienced an aspect of something else.
