Firmat EP by Structures Group

Firmat, and its twin-release Terrad, are the debut EPs of Structures Group. The titles encompass eight tracks which veer between rain-drenched electro, hazy ambience and industrial-infused electronica.

The tracks were recorded in Berlin and Doha between 2020 and 2021, during a time of pandemic lockdowns and personal relocation from Europe to the Arabian Gulf. Perhaps because of this, a preoccupation with geography and landscapes informs the titles: a yearning for the outside when the world was locked up inside, and for familiarity amidst the giddiness of discovery.
