Clocking in on Stil vor Talent with a pair of no-nonsense floor busters, HIGHLITE put on the afterburners and don't intend to slow one iota, so better buckle your belt. Breaking the two-tracker in, 'Step Up' collides a solid blend of steely EBM with liquid dubstep and dancehall vocals, which, put together, unleashes a tsunami of bouncy bass, fevered drumwor,k and metal-clad breaks. Swirling and crashing with unrelenting power throughout, the track makes for a proper ragga-informed rollercoaster, combining a high-velocity approach and fearless big-room horsepower.
More of a straightforward jagged electro-techno affair on a hip-hop tip, 'Trick', serves up a highly dynamic buildup and thrilling sound-design. Mounted on a bass-heavy frame and doped on equally rousing pep talk, the title-track fires off a barrage of obsessive arpeggios and processed chords nonstop, ushering us straight in the heart of a volcano-hot dance floor at peak-time. Expect flows of black lava gushing out the woofers.
