This one is kind of for the drummers - I think they'll enjoy the challenge, and the groove, and partly for those of you who are interested in the farther shore of the blues, people who may have played Assume The Position etc.

Less people listen to Jackie McLean than should, he was a great sax player - particularly with Mingus, but maybe Mingus didn't feel Jackie was evolving fast enough so they parted company. Jackie McLean went on to make some unique small group albums in the 60s, of which this is only one.
