Inspired by the classic quintets led by Charles Mingus, Horace Silver, Chick Corea and Dave Holland, Zweifel’s quintet draws from all corners of the jazz world. Spencer Zweifel began playing piano at a young age, and started to really pursue it after being inspired by his musical family. Growing up in Fort Collins, CO, Spencer had the opportunity to become part of the area music scene early in life, and started his first jazz group at the age of 16. In 2020 Spencer formed his own quintet and recorded 'Backwoods Fancy,' which was released in early 2021.
