Rain Suite by Chad Crouch
Rain Suite is a series of contemplative and melodic piano movements from composer/ recordist Chad Crouch set to a continuous field recording of rain showers and birdsong in a wetland habitat in Crouch's hometown, Portland, Oregon. The musical pieces are sparsely built up with piano, bells, and warm synths, loosely interleaved with the natural soundscape to allow attention to drift gently among all the quiet sounds. It's a part ambient, part post-classical, all sensitively crafted, immersive music that defies easy categorization.
