Girl by Sister Funk
"Girl" is Sister Funk's sophomore CD, follow up to their debut "Pursuit of the Groove". Sister Funk has done it again with their fun, upbeat, melody laden harmonies and catchy hooks and licks. All the ladies contributes as song writers and singers on this compilation. Round and Round is reminiscent of Styx or Journey with a piano heavy hook with a big canon vocal ending while Crucify is a huge power ballad that emotes deeply. There are fun upbeat tracks like Loves Promises, Girl and Imagination which are very typical Sister Funk. This is worth a listen from beginning to end.
