Secret by Siboney + Andy
In their debut release, "SECRET", Siboney + Andy forge a musical truce between their tastes and backgrounds, with Siboney's love of pop music and Andy's varied influences coming together to form a unique musical offering. Self-produced by Andy, the EP has hooks with an edge, showing elements of Pop, Folk, Electronica, and Indie, crossing over live instrumentation and performances with polished production.
Title track, "Secret", finds a sonic landscape and rhythm reminiscent of the anguished lyrics, with aggressive synth sounds and twangy acoustic guitars, whilst "See Me Though The Night" hits hard with punchy modern production, putting Siboney's power-house vocals at the forefront. "Mexico" goes on a little trip over the border to Pop-Folk territory with Andy taking lead, whilst "Can't Love You Any More" takes the EP home, showcasing Siboney's pop-R&B inclinations.
