"Lerzane"

This music includes two pieces,A and B in which consists of several constant melodies in case of modal intervals, simultaneously they have been presented separately.

a newly produced album is proudly the representative of a special kind of music that is widely played in a particular part of Mukrian region, Kurdistan, where most of the pieces performed at traditional celebrations like weddings, New Year celebrations and many other national ceremonies as the Kurdish Traditional music for dancing.

Geographically Mukrian is located in the East of Kurdistan starting from the South of Urmia Lake. Referencing historical documents, it includes the following cities: “Shno, Naqade, Miyandwaw,khane, Mahabad, Bokan, Sayinqala, Tikab, Sardasht and a small part of Urmiya, Saqqez and Bane”.


Mukriyan is rich in oral literature and folklore so that a great number of writers,artists and inspiring personalities have appeared throughout history.The main language spoken by citizens is  Mukriyani which is a subdialect of Sorani language(central kurdish language).

There are several kinds of Kurdish dances in Mukrian, such as "Royne", "Daghe", "Chapie" and "Se Peyee". Different musical features like tempo and rythm for producing the songs are mentioned below :
“Royne” requires 4/4 rhythm and 80-85 bpm.  “Daghe”:  6/8 rhythm and 120 bpm.  “Chapie” and “Se peyee”: 6/8 or 2/4 rhythm and 125-135 bpm.

The instruments for playing the mentioned musical pieces above are, “Zarb“, “Duzala”, ”Naye” and recently “Shmshal” has been added. At the end of the tracks “Zurna” and “Dahol” have been used as  two local instruments.Strings have been used as supportive ones solely,since the authenticity of the pieces was our priority.

All the members of the group are native and it is of the best effort of the album to spread this form of mukriyani music taste globally.
