Many times when people are about to move to a new city, there's a sense of discovery and enthusiasm about one's new home, and, to some extent, maybe we tend to make it out to be a more wondrous place than it is. This song is really about that, and technically could've been written about any number of places, but I chose Kingston, Ontario. However, the song also works as a straightforward love letter to that town and to its surrounding communities - like the Town of Napanee.

Sean Peever is one of the must-see performers on the Toronto singer-songwriter scene. From folk-rock to soul to country to rocksteady, his willingness to serve the song first & foremost results in a voice that can be lending a soulful urgency to one song while singing with grace and delicacy on another, combined with a fleet fingerpicking/energetic strumming guitar style.
