You can get really fucked up sometimes. But some people feel like that all the time, but it has highs and lows. Most of the times you try to communicate and purge it, but people never care. It’s a pity a human being can feel so needy, in a society ruled by selfishness and selflessness – somehow, you’re just following those rules when you think someone MUST care about your feeling.

This is the last scream, the last time a person tries to show exactly what he or she feels, showing the darkest, most rotten part of what people call depression or desperation. Scangledcrow – this word doesn’t even exist. This lad just came with that word naturally, and I don’t know how or why. The only thing I know is that he’s got a spot for crows. It might be Scangle’s last waltz, but he really wanted to purge his deepest and dirtiest feelings, although they might sound silly; but I bet everybody already had these kinds of thoughts, but could never expose them the way they’re exposed on this EP. It is catharsis, it is an attempt to rediscover himself. At the height (or at the lowest?) of his mad emptiness, Scangledcrow wrote and recorded 5 of the 6 tracks in six days; “That’s No Way to Say You’re Sorry” was already done, but it feels like it appeared in those six days, or it started to make sense.

There’s no beauty in this 6-track EP, because there’s no beauty in sadness. There is instinct, reflected in the recordings – especially when you realize he’s playing boxes and baskets as drum kits in some tracks. It’s natural, it’s music after all, it’s experimenting, and it’s looking for a new horizon or a new way to produce anything, to runaway, to escape, to fight. Immediacy is the key word. Enjoy the ride.
