Self Control by Ruth Mascelli & Mary Hanson Scott
The forthcoming new album from Ruth Mascelli will be a collaboration with ambient saxophonist Mary Hanson Scott, their music together previewed already on 2024’s “Haunted Hearts” single. Under the influence of the lunar cycle, the second taste of what is to come arrives in the form of this 3-track EP, showcasing a unique and brooding cover of much-loved 80s anthem “Self Control”, with backing vocals by Boy Harsher’s Jae Matthews. It's the perfect soundtrack for living amongst creatures of the night, or wandering the streets of your soul.
The lead track comes accompanied by a video by Ruth and Tommi Calamari. shot on location in the beautiful Pocono Mountains.
