Hidden in the shadows of South West London, the enigmatic Elsewhere teams up with Rebel Music founder OB1 to deliver "Checkpoint," a five-track odyssey through the realms of soulful and future-driven drum & bass. Written over the course of the last twelve months, these long-time friends have poured their hearts into late-night studio sessions, crafting an EP that is as much a journey as it is a destination.

"Checkpoint," the titular track, sets the tone for the EP with its melancholic melodies and intricate rhythms, beckoning listeners to step into a world where the lines between reality and the unknown blur. The narrative continues with "I Could Never Hold Your Attention," an ode to the late Marcus Intalex, a track that lures you in with its mesmerising soundscapes and emotive undercurrents, revealing the depth of Elsewhere and OB1's creative synergy.

"Sundials & Sirens," featuring the vocals of Sense MC, stands as a testament to the duo's ability to blend soulful elements with cutting-edge production, creating a track that is both timeless and futuristic. The harder-edged "Fluctuations" channels the raw energy of their early Jungle DnB influences, pushing the boundaries of sound and intensity. Closing the EP, the instrumental version of "Sundials & Sirens" strips away the vocals, allowing the music to speak its own mystifying language.
