When Rachel and Scott sat down to play together for the first time, something unexpected happened...
Having never heard each other play the piano, and with dramatically different solo styles, they were keen to test the waters but couldn’t imagine where it might lead.
In an unbridled rush of creativity,
Stormstruck poured out of them
and something completely new was born.
Stormstruck rises from hauntingly gentle to become an intense, metal-esque ride by 4 hands and one grand piano. Rachel LaFond and Scott D. Davis team up to attack the piano from a rock perspective, adding a guitar pick and string-muting to forge a rock sound larger than the piano itself.
