In less than two weeks in June, Rodney Levi and Chantel Moore, two Indigenous Canadian citizens, were shot and killed by police in New Brunswick.
Today, hip-hop artist and activist Q052 releases the single High Horse to highlight the injustices suffered by Canada’s Indigenous Peoples at the hands of police forces. Indigenous people are at much higher risk of being killed by police in Canada.

Q052 is a Mi’gmaq rapper and activist from Gesgapegiag. Winner of Best Male Hip-Hop Artist at the 2023 International Indigenous Hip Hop Awards Show, he’s also been nominated at the ADISQ Gala, Teweikan, and GAMIQ. In 2022, he released three impactful albums: ImagiNation, The Storm, and The Calm. His catalogue includes 5 albums, 1 EP, 9 singles, and 70 tracks, with over 159,000 streams online.
