You can hike to the moon you can step on the stars
You can live half your life sitting at a red light in your car

Where the people are plastic and the burgers are fake
And everyone's dreaming all day even though they're awake

Schemers, and beamers, and pre-teen streamers, and studios on every side
Fast cars, and porn stars, and Hollywood boulevard
And accidents and managers and cameras and cannabis

Los Angeles, oh you're so fine
Full of people who worry that somehow they're falling behind
Every day is the same, and everyone's out of their mind

Still the magic is hard to resist
For the folks who are lost or adrift
Maybe here we can prove we exist
