Peace For Old Ghosts (Simon Shippey (Custom Blue, Ed Vallance)) new album 'Between' is a huge leap forward from 2008's The Likewise ep. This time Simon takes an instrumental approach which combines electro-acoustic, kraut-folk and country elements with a sense of deep melancholy but also of hope. Based in Brooklyn, Simon Shippey has honed his song-writing skills to perfection blending complex arrangements with rich harmonic patterns. Assisted by Jory Cunningham and Ted Meyer, 'Between' is an album not to miss.
