Parallax by Intrepita
Inspiration for this album comes from the solar system and reflections on the night. Parallax is a difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight. It can be measured from the angle of inclination between the two lines. Astronomers use parallax to measure distances to the closer stars. During these observations the term "parallax" refers to the semi-angle of inclination between two sight-lines to the star as observed from Earth when it is on opposite sides of the Sun.
All tracks were performed and recorded at 7 Below Studio in a single take.
This is mainly a Dark Ambient album, However, there are also elements of Berlin School and Industrial Electronic genres.

Paul Stillwell is a musician and artist who is fascinated by the darker side of sound and live performance. He is a member of the Canadian Electronic Ensemble, founding member of Not Your Average Worker Bees, and sometimes performs solo under the name Intrepita. He is also the curator for Toronto's monthly synthesizer workshop Frequency Freaks, and co-organizer of the Toronto Sound Festival.
