Facets by Paul Griffin
Inspired by one of my Jamuary 2025 tracks of the same name, I wanted to explore some of the structure and feel of that track more thoroughly, to see where the rushed idea that I had during Jamuary might take me if I gave it a bit more time to marinate and expand.
The original track was conceived as an exploration of a simple central musical idea from multiple angles, moving from one to the next over the course of the song like brief movements in a tiny little electronic symphony.
This EP expands the scope of that idea fractaly: a higher-order symphony, with brief reorientations to turn your ear from one facet to the next, each a tiny electronic symphony with brief movements of its own.
