What exactly is p(art)y Here and Now?
The event is planned as a one hour live performance art event, during which time we will all perform in the same space, at the same time. We will all start at the same time and finish at the same time.
By 'perform' we mean that you are free to create or express yourself in any way you should choose. Sometimes it is easier to describe performance as an artistic intention. You are free to behave in an intentionally artistic creative way for the duration of the hour-long event.
There will be a lot of different ways that participants might choose to perform. Some of the artists participating will be making sound art, using equipment. Others may choose to bring props, or particular outfits to wear and to use as they perform. Others will be performing through movement and/or dance, or vocally. Others might choose to make an intentional action and work with that. If you have a specific performative intention you wish to carry out, that is fine. Also p(art)y is a great place to try out new creative ideas that might be gestating in your mind. Our goal is that we all work together in the same space for the hour duration, and see what entails. It's important to remember that p(art)y is a safe, inclusive space with no judgement, and all are welcome. You are also very welcome to attend in a spectator capacity, to watch and support.
Signing Up for p(art)y Here And Now
In order to reserve a spot, please email us back here: hereandnowparty@gmail.com
It is very important that we know who is attending, to participate or just to witness. We look forward to seeing you there!
IMPORTANT UPDATES:
FOOD:
we encourage participants to bring some food to be shared in a little buffet-like situation, aside that there will be soup provided
(probably dal-like spicy lentil soup) AFTER p(art)y Here and Now event, which would be around 6:30 pm or so ...
There will be a variety of herbal teas (fresh from the garden, Brendan is very knowledgeable about plants), tea, water and coffee
provided. expenses would be covered via donation box.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:
As there is a LISTENING 12 hours long event from dusk to dawn, we do not expect people to stay awake the whole night and therefore it is recommended to bring camping mats and sleeping bags if you wish to attend this adventure - so you may also listen while sleeping and dreaming :-) Floor is wooden and there will be some pillows provided, I think.
Otherwise, there is still one cabin to be rented (2 rooms: 1 single bed and 1 double bed) you would have to talk to Brendan & Rachel 0851368998 about details, please.
Additionally, you could sleep on the wooden floor in the cabin which will be used as a "noisier room" and eating room earlier, provided you have a mat & sleeping bag. The garden is jungle-like and there is no actual space to pitch a tent.
PARKING:
parking is very limited and will be managed by Brendan upon arrival,
you will need to ring him on arrival 0851368998 and he will guide you.
LOCATION:
There is no aircode, but search in Google Maps "Flagmount Wild Garden" and it will take you there. Additionally there will be a big banner-like flag hanging from the telegraph pole. See artwork with flag here:

REWARDS:
We hope we will have a great time in a challenging, but very unique location :-)
Note: No alcohol and drugs are allowed, please.
