Live Report 011 from "p(art)y Here and Now" participatory event in Courthouse, Ennis, Clare.

These recordings are for archiving, study and learning purposes only, all participants are kept anonymous, unless you wish to be specifically credited (information will be added if appropriate and as needed).

Everything evolves constantly.

Track 1:
LIVE 19:00-20:00 - ambient recording containing all sounds by all participants, mixed with minimal pre-tape marking beginning and the end, final version.

Track 2: This is very subjective perspective - rec. via line by Slavek Kwi with occasional sound-shadows of other participants seeping in through ultrasonic detectors and mic. Mixed with pre-tape marking the time (version 3 - it contains more sounds than final minimal version used in the event itself).

Track 3-5:
Audio Abstract Articles in music-like meta-language "kwatarese" *
Sort of "review" in 3 chapters.

* abstract multi-dimensional meta-language with resemblance to human concept of “music” using the surrounding audio-environment as interface (WSi = weather sensitive installation) of connection in between transmitting and intercepting parties simultaneously. “Kwatarese” is more focused on sharing the experience rather than information, looking for creating irrational sense of balance and resonance in between participating elements.

Imagine Abstract-Alien-Audio-Artefact with resemblance to Human concept of “music/sound”,but which is Another - entirely different carrier of “information” similar to Human understanding of “meaning” based on different paradigm and perception of the “Reality”. Imagine Alternative Universe where “understanding” is not reduced to “thinking” only, but whole “sensory experience” is considered in its entirety equally: preserving its potential free.

Firstly to say thank you to all who came along to October's p(art)y Here and Now event, held at Clare Augustinan Abbey. It was a very special p(art)y, and we left feeling very fortunate to have had the opportunity to perform in such a historical, powerful place. The art gods bestowed a calm, clear, crisp evening upon us which was perfect for the event, especially considering there was a storm warning for the following day...

Speaking of special places, we have secured Ennis Courthouse for our November p(art)y event.

We are now inviting you to the p(art)y Here and Now November event:

November p(art)y Here and Now
Our next p(art)y Here and Now is Saturday 16th November. It will be held in Ennis Courthouse, Lifford Road, Ennis.

We will situate ourselves downstairs in the Courthouse, which means parking will be at the back of the courthouse. The venue is fully accessible with accessible parking on this side of the building. For those of you who have not been at the Courthouse this means you drive in and turn left, around the back of the building. We will park, and enter the building from the back door.


Date: Saturday 16 November

Time: 6.45 - 8pm
(please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the performance. We start promptly at 7pm)

Venue: Ennis Courthouse, Lifford Road, Ennis.

Cost: we are asking for a €5 donation towards the cost of using the Courthouse

Parking: parking is available at the back of the courthouse, where we will enter and exit the building.

What exactly is p(art)y Here and Now?
The event is planned as a one hour live performance art event, during which time we will all perform in the same space, at the same time. We will all start at the same time and finish at the same time.
By 'perform' we mean that you are free to create or express yourself in any way you should choose. Sometimes it is easier to describe performance as an artistic intention. You are free to behave in an intentionally artistic creative way for the duration of the hour-long event.
There will be a lot of different ways that participants might choose to perform. Some of the artists participating will be making sound art, using equipment. Others may choose to bring props, or particular outfits to wear and to use as they perform. Others will be performing through movement and/or dance, or vocally. If you have a specific performative intention you wish to carry out, that is fine. Our goal is that we all work together in the same space for the hour duration, and see what entails.
