for my friends final project she asked me if i'd be down to make the soundtrack for it. it was a big group project in the animation department and so much effort and passion went into it so i was p excited to be a part of something like that. but because they changed their mind on the tone of the film, and because the lecturer thought the melody "wasn't iconic enough" they stuck to the royalty free music they found. the saddest part is that the lecturer would have just let the team use it if i hadn't flat out refused a payment from them. i would have been able to work more closely with them because they were all literally invested in it, plus i'd be slightly less poor!
