"My task is to solve a puzzle with another puzzle that can't be seen, be touched, but to feel."

Led by her own moto, Lane Shi, the frontwoman of Elizabeth Colour Wheel, a true sound artist in the purest form, records and performs in solitude under the moniker of otay:onii. With her solo works, she breaks down structures that chain her neck and feet, fusing electronic, ambient, sound collage, or even harsh noise to establish a unique bodily expression. Atop the lushly layered arrangement, her vocal delivery adds an overwhelming sense of presence. Her stunning range and nuanced control of her own voice are simply awestriking, often drawing comparisons to trailblazing vocalists such as Janis Joplin, Björk, Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star), and Beth Gibbons (Portishead).
