On the surface this is extremely minimal rhythmic electronics, recalling lighter moments from Sähkö Recordings, the sub-zero bump of Goem and the lab-coat looping of Thomas Brinkmann. Scratch the surface and listen deeper into Mexican artist Luis Riveras' work and a clockwork, gas and air driven sub-system is found, more archaic and dusty than that of his contemporaries.
The tracks on 'Interferencias' are created using:
1940s Bulb Radio (Broken)
Two Nuclear Test Sine Oscillators
Noise Drone Box
Roland 808 Drum Machine
Spring Reverb & Analogue Delay
Recorded directly to Reel to Reel Tape Recorder via DM 1550 Pre-Amp (Semi-Functional)
These tools are applied using following mathematical rules creating a series of pieces which vary from glistening resonances, appearing and disintegrating to luscious minimal techno corner turning round odd-numbered polygons.
