Voicemails by Olexi
Voicemails is based on a series of conversation and experiences I've had with friends and family mixed with the spam of ads from social media. The sound and aesthetic is heavily based upon the early synth punk of Ultravox!, The Normal, and The Screamers. As well, many of the satirical and over the top emotional elements come from my love of the late-70s San Francisco punk scene from Dead Kennedys to The Units.
