I chose who I thought I was, I drew it

I found a burden that consumes me, that tells me “ you are mine”
I’m lost in temptation’s sway,
In the haze of my compulsion, I think I lost my way
Because when they all fall down
I’ll only see the glint of my unhealed wounds
