True North by Nick Barnes
Originally released under the moniker Cities At Night, “True North” is based on the true story (that is, truly a story) of wandering volatiles Matthew and Ella. There’s passion, loss, and lots of water. It’s kind of a love letter to Leelanau County, Michigan, too. I wrote a lot of it on piano/keyboard because, well, I had just bought a Casio Privia and wanted to use it for something.
