Microhm is the alias of mexican sound artist Leslie García. For more than a decade she has been developing projects of electronic art and digital media. She explores the fusion process between art and technology. Is co-founder of the bioart collective Interspecifics (Mexico City) 2013-present, of the electronic media collec- tive DreamAddictive (Tijuana B.C.) 2003-2010, and Astrovandalistas in Mexico City 2011-2017. Member of the National System of Art Creators (SNCA) in the specialty of new technologies since 2021.
The music it produces under this alias seeks above all to create states of immersion that it addresses with a wide range of technical and musical resources. It gathers influences ranging from slow techno, ambient, noise, IDM, among others. It uses analog synthesis instruments processed in DAW and programming tools. Her album “Eternal Night” was released in 2018 with the StaticDiscos label from Tijuana, as well as the singles, “With you”, “Espectral” and “Servicio Magético” (2019). Also during 2019 “Inmaterial Energy Waves” came out, a live dark ambient improvisation with the CDMX label Voragine. At the beginning of 2020, she presented “Infinita Incertidumbre” with the Mexican label LowMute, as well as the single “Kyoke” for the Yu Yu club compilation and “Abrazo” for Vol1. Sounds in Resilience, on the LGBT+ label Oris of which she is a co-founder. During 2021 he presented two EPs connected in his narrative, the first one “Lost in Elastic Time, with the Ecuadorian label +ambién and “Space Time Foam” with Mexico City label Antimateria Sonora.
