Internal World by meHiLove

meHiLove is a now a distinguished veteran at Silk Music, as the extraordinarily talented Ukrainian producer has contributed to our imprint since 2011. His new three-track "Internal World" EP showcases his signature soothing blend of transportive textures, lush pads, radiant melodies, and club-centric drum patterns. All three songs beg for repeated listens and will surely tantalize new recruits to the progressive electronic music genre and seasoned fans alike.

The title cut of meHiLove's new EP centers on a dance-friendly groove, with ethereal melodies and intricate harmonies further facilitating the ebbs and flows of the rhythm. When the inevitable breakdown arrives, a soulful male vocal hook and piano theme deliver on the promise of a poignant new theme, followed by the reemergence of the climactic lead arpeggios and, ultimately, reverberating groove. The climax of the record comes alive with details, as every frequency in the sonic spectrum is charged with meHiLove's artful touch.

"Aspiration" reveals meHiLove's penchant for the purely euphoric vibrations of progressive trance. Marked by its contrasts, moments of deep serenity alternate throughout the arrangement with breathtaking sequences of total exhilaration. In the buildup of the song, exotic female vocals unite with a minimalistic piano score, while a driving groove muscularly bolsters the rest of the soundscape. In the main breakdown, an especially stirring sequence unfolds, as a gorgeous new piano melody coalesces with the bewitching vocals, paving the way for the formidable drop to follow.

Finally, "Escape," much like the preceding tracks on the release, harken back to the golden age of melodic progressive house, when 1/8 note bass patterns dominated the genre. The textures build, bar by bar, to a cascading crescendo, topped by unforgettably soaring female vocal lines. The track's momentum derives not only from the powerful rhythm, but also its emotional chord progressions, which catapult the listener forward at every turn. Darkness becomes light as the synth lines unfurl and the vocal chants ascend to stratospheric heights.
