This album came into being on Native peoples’ unceded ancestral homelands, including lands inhabited by the Naumkeag band of the Massachusett tribe (present-day Swampscott, MA), the Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Quapaw nations (Memphis, TN), the Munsee Lenape people (Brooklyn, NY), and the Muisca people (Bogotá, CO). We commit to raising awareness about the harmful legacies and ongoing violence wrought by settler colonialism. We seek to respect and honor the deep histories, spiritualities, and livelihoods of Native and Indigenous peoples.
