Macroline is the new album from ex-Blanche Hudson Weekender, Ailsa Craiger, A.Me’r and current Edible Eye eater, Matt Robson... the artist once known as randomNumber.

A cranky journey into contemporary electronic music, Macroline makes calls across a varying array of influences, ranging from the complex, rhythmically dense work of Autechre via hiphop’s pace and swagger, through to the inviting melodic palettes of the outsider synth pop of
the Next Phase: Normal Records roster.

Although an adventurous spirit is recommended, Macroline is far from being an inaccessible ride, and fans of The Edible Eyes will find much to like here, showcasing a wonkier and instrumental long form approach to the production techniques that lovers of The Eyes will recognise and enjoy; to be savoured as an explorative companion piece to the recent electro pop of the “You’re Void” single.
